- A beautiful hotel set in Kjerringoy Norway on the waterfront, with stunning views and surroundings is searching for 3 chefs to join their team for the upcoming summer season with a real emphasis on fresh ingredients, mouth watering flavours and beautifully presented plates. This is a perfect job for someone who wants to practice their craft or to learn traditional and new techniques of Nordic cooking.
The restaurant offers à la carte menu’s for breakfast, lunch and dinner. These menu’s change daily, incorporate in-season produce and fresh fish which is caught locally and picked up from the local docks to ensure freshness and quality. This popular hotel caters many large weddings and events, it would be useful if you have experience of cooking for large numbers in both a restaurant and or a banqueting side of a venue.
The chef is looking for two experienced chefs who have worked at a high level and understand the love and effort that goes into producing brilliant and tasty food for clients to enjoy when they either dine in the restaurant, stay in the hotel, or come for an event. Passion for the job is essential and someone who is searching for a new challenge and to be enthralled by their surroundings and energy that goes into creating these beautiful dishes. The third position can be for a chef who is commencing their journey into our culinary world and wants the opportunity and a challenge to put themselves into a kitchen where they will learn so much from the others around them but still be able to do everyday tasks to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and the pass.
With all these positions it would start on a seasonal contract running from the 25th of May till the 20th of August. The chefs can arrive a little early to get themselves settled and discover the lay of the land and the wonders that it holds and for the right candidates who excel at the job and wish to stay there may be the option of a permanent position.
