Stew/Cook - New build 55m Yacht

A long time client of Golden Goose Recruitment is looking for a stew cook to join their new team and yacht for the upcoming season in the Mediterranean.

One of Golden Goose Recruitments long term clients is seeking a Stew/Cook to join their team on a newly built Maltese flagged 50m fast waterjet motor yacht.

This is a seasonal position with strong potential to transition into a permanent role.

The yacht will operate privately for the owner and is part of a small fleet, travelling alongside support vessels.


The successful candidate will combine crew cooking responsibilities with interior support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations onboard.

Cooking duties are primarily for crew when the owner is not onboard, as the owner’s travelling private chef manages guest & crew catering when they are onboard.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene

  • MCA Ship’s Cook Certificate (advantageous)

  • Previous yachting experience essential

  • Strong housekeeping and service skills

  • Professional, proactive, and team-oriented

  • Non-smoker, fit, and active

  • Driving licence required

Additional Information:

  • Start date: Early April

  • 7 crew onboard (non-guest periods)

  • Open to couples (Bosun/OOW pairing)

  • Fluent English required; Italian beneficial

  • Salary DOE + standard SEA (3.6 days leave/month)
